Who I am

Fleur is a multi-disciplinary performance artist based in Lichfield. Her primary disciplines are Aerial Hoop, Contemporary Dance and Fire. She has toured nationally and internationally, and as a self-producing artist believes that performance art is an invaluable tool for sharing stories. Fleur's choreography draws inspiration from her experiences and the natural environment, often combining the disciplines she works in.

Aerial Hoop

Fleur started training aerial hoop in 2021 at West Midlands Circus Centre. A few months later she auditioned for a dancer role in their sister company, RoguePlay Theatre. She was successful and was offered a role in Around the World.

Since then Fleur's aerial hoop practice has gone from strength to strength, and in 2023 she successfully applied for a Developing Your Creative Practice grant from Arts Council England. The grant allowed her to develop her technical skills as an aerialist, and take the time to develop her creative voice in combining dance and aerial together. The project culminated 2024 with a 10 minute act, with an original music score composed by Meshach Shadare.
